Meeting a new pet and the people who love them is one of our favorite parts of the day.
Whether you’ve just welcomed a puppy or kitten into your home or you’re finding a new veterinarian for a longtime family member, we look forward to getting to know you both.
Bring any medical or vaccination records you have, along with information about medications or supplements your pet takes. If your pet has been seeing another veterinarian, let us know so we can talk about getting those records before your visit.
A leash for your dog or a carrier for your cat will help keep them safe as you come and go. And bring your questions, too. If something has been on your mind, we want to hear about it.
Your first visit gives us a chance to learn about your pet’s health, personality, and everyday life. What do they eat? How have they been feeling? Is there anything you’re concerned about? You know your pet best, and what you share helps us care for them.
If your pet is new to your family, we’ll talk about how they’re settling in and help you understand their care needs. There’s a lot to learn when you’re getting to know each other, and you don’t have to have all the answers.
If you’re changing veterinarians, we’ll review your pet’s history from their previous office and talk with you about their ongoing care.
Our team will welcome you, help you get settled, and learn a little about what brings you in. Your veterinarian will examine your pet, answer your questions, and talk through any recommendations and next steps.
If your dog or cat gets nervous at the vet, please let us know. A
new place comes with plenty of unfamiliar sights and smells, and we want to help your pet feel as comfortable as possible.
At Animal Clinic of Woodruff, caring for your pet starts with getting to know your family. Give us a call to schedule your first visit or ask a question before you come in. We’re happy to help.
