At Animal Clinic of Woodruff, we love shining a light on our incredible team members. This month, we’re highlighting our wonderful vet, Dr. Liza!
Originally from Greer, S.C., Dr. Liza Price graduated from Clemson University with an Animal Science degree, and then earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 from Mississippi State University.
As a child, Dr. Liza always had a fascination with animals and veterinary medicine. She shares, “My interest only expanded as I got older. ...I began taking an interest in medicine caring for my horse who happened to be accident prone and required many veterinary visits. It was rewarding observing the healing process, and that’s when I realized that this is the profession that I wanted to devote my life to.”
Dr. Liza went on to marry her high-school sweetheart Tyler, and they now have a two-year-old daughter named Emma.
When asked if Emma knows that her mom is a vet (and if she thinks that’s cool), Dr. Liza shares, “The only thing that Emma thinks is cool are snacks, bubbles and her stuffed animal Kiwi.”
Dr. Liza adds that her favorite parent moments are, “Snuggling in their recliner together at the end of each day and reading books before Emma goes to bed.”
We are so lucky to have Dr. Liza Price on our veterinary team. She gives each animal who graces our office such incredible veterinary care and kindness. We are so blessed to have you, Dr. Liza!
